Story

The young emperor, along with the empire, inherits his father's old policy, which is based on arrogant and selfish way of ruling. A girl from the village is forced to marry him in order to pay off her father's debt. But, she also give him a condition  - when he gets bored of her, he will allow her to take one thing with her from the court, what she loves the most. When that really happens, she takes away the young emperor. The emperor realising what was mistake in his previous way of life. At the same time, a love story between a chicken from the village and an arrogant court rooster takes place, and that gives the play a humorous tone and dynamism. Rich costumes evoke the differences between village and court life. Court life is ridiculed and "ordinary people" stand out with their ingenuity. The play won numerous awards: at the Meetings of Professional Puppet Theaters of Serbia (for an episodic role), at Festić (for the best play, the best director, the best text and the best episodic role).
